Since August 2019 there has been a group of artisans in El Salado who meet once a month in the guest house. There the women work together on products and discuss designs, color combinations and sales opportunities. Currently they mainly produce "Shigras", finely crocheted bags that are mainly used on holidays in the Ecuadorian highlands. Jewelry, scarves and sweaters are also in the works.

We as an association support the group by giving them market access in Germany. The profit goes entirely to the artisans, who can tap into another, albeit small, source of income. César Tixilema and our volunteers usually also take part in the group meetings. You have made it your business to organize trips to other artisans in order to exchange ideas and get inspiration.

In December 2019, the group sold its products for the first time in the Baños market.
