About the association
The association stupor mundi eV was founded in 2004 with the aim of supporting the population of the highland community of Llangahua in projects in the fields of leisure, education, the environment and health.
Our motivation is based on trust in young people who are committed to the gradual dismantling of (intellectual) obstacles on the way to a global society with equal access to education and health care as well as the protection of flora and fauna. This ties our motivation to the motto of our partner organization, the indigenous youth movement MECIT (Movimiento de Estudiantes Campesino Indígenas de Tungurahua) in Ecuador:
“En un mundo que se destruye; una juventud que construye. ”-“ In a world that is destroying itself, a youth that is building up. ”
